The World Is An Echo
by: Robert J. Shelley ©2004
I speak but I am the only one that can hear my voice, I cry, I am the only one to feel my tears. I am in pain, yet no one is near - It is all so empty. The world is an echo, repeating my darkest screams, caging my emotions, "Now Hear This, Now Hear This, Now Hear This..."
We are too many, we are the people of the world who are alone. No one listens to our words, they just echo back upon us. No one listens to our words as we are on our own.
Come together, reach out, Hear This... I am alive, I am here, where are you, stand with me, I'll stand with you, and you, and you - echoing the sound of UNITY - We will be heard as one loud echo, no one can ignore.
WE will feel our strength as emptiness fills with warmth, friendship, love, and understanding. A struggling solidarity in progress - we free ourselves from the chains that bind painful memories within.
You can't kill pain with hate - It's also just an echo of what's passed, come into the Now - Leave the past on pages - create the present - a present for you, a present for me - our opportunity from "Friends Beyond The Wall" to hear each others' call.
