"Final Day"©
by: Edwin Parra

If I had but one day left to live,
All my love I would surely give
To her in the pretty summer dress...
Whose kiss is like a sweet caress.

She whose soulful eyes twinkle when she smiles...
She whose warm laugher can be heard for miles.

And when my time has left this slipping dream,
May my soul flow gently down that stream...
Towards the pearly gates of Eternity,
Hoping I was whom I was meant to be.

"MUSE"©

God as a woman,
Would have to be you...
For a Goddess you are,
In all that you do.

Love in all its essence,
Very well equals you...
And love of all loves,
This is why I chose you.

"CURTAIN"©

The curtain rises, the curtain falls;
As one listens, an encore calls...

As their cries thunder like the sea,
I humbly wonder if they are hailing me...

For it is on them that I depend,
To give my life a fitting end.

"FAITHLESS"©

I can no longer believe in a tomorrow;
For in the sea of despair, I continue to wallow...

Swallow the hurt like some bitter medicine,
Wondering if love will ever let me in...

Begin to question my every existence,
Knowing that I shall never again feel
Its presence...

Essence, no longer shall mine thrive,
Knowing that I do not possess the will to survive...

Alive no more in a world of tomorrows;
Worlds full of hurt, worlds full of sorrow...

No, I no longer believe in tomorrow.

"TU" (You)©

You look, but cannot see
That which is haunting me.

You speak, but cannot say
That which will chase my demons away.

You touch, but cannot feel
This cold, lonely heart turn to steel.

You listen, but cannot hear
The falling of my silent tears.

Tu...

"MIRROR"©

Yes... I see your pain,
But not through a windowpane;
Comes from the clouds in your sad eyes...
From the storm in your soul,
As your heart slowly dies.
