* My Art Lesson *
by: Johnny L. Huntley

As I ponder the multitude of my endless blessing,
the greatest indeed is my art lesson.
'It appeared one morn to my rather slumber eyes,
as I gazed from my window upon mesmerizing skies.
'Oh what overwhelming beauty I suddenly saw,
an absolute vision of breath taking awe.
'Mystic clouds dancing with majestic sway,
never had I experienced such aerial display.
'Their rolling overlapping with rhythm sublime,
was a visual symphony of perfectly kept time.
'They lean'd, lift'd, drop'd, and swiftly curved,
rendering stimulating sensations in my optic nerve.
'A low distant rumble of most haunting thunder,
trembled to silence with blood chilling wonder.
'The clouds then flung open with awesome fright!,
only to deliver a divine ray of soothing light.
'Wide, and ever wider did the light loom,
until the whole landscape it did consume.
'A sweet breeze blew with such faint a glee,
causing my wind chimes to compose a melody.
'Oh how benevolent a dawn in glorious rush,
yet serenely fading to a mere lullaby hush.
'The clouds ushered down a tempest mist,
which caressed my face as a mother's kiss.
'Indeed how luminous this most sacred sight,
in hues my mind still lingering bright.
'Such murmuring aesthetics from oh high,
behold! His holy dove now soaring by.
'Rare pastel colors so uniquely surprising,
my mind still amidst from summarizing.
'Way in the distance arose a mystic glow,
giving birth to a kaleidoscopic rainbow.
'Then suddenly a bolt of lightening so clear,
my very soul was shaken with moral fear.
'Together all the clouds seem to at once nod,
as if paying homage to Almighty God.
'Again the lightning panoramic sprang!!,
within that pure light he sign'd His Name.
'What most saw as a storm I saw as a blessing,
again I insist it was another Art Lesson.
