"Your Eyes"
by: Rosemary Garcia

I see it clearly,
though you try to hide,
the pain that's locked,
so deep inside.
You cover it's look,
so no one can see,
the hurt that's there,
that can't set you free.
You think you're smart,
and got the whole world fooled,
but God created,
something you can never rule.
It shines brightly,
and maybe no one can see,
the loneliness from within,
but you can't fool me.
I share the feeling,
so you're not alone,
there's peace within,
our heart of home.
Your eyes are open,
and I see you whole,
through your eyes I see,
the windows of your soul.

"I Ask Myself"

I ask myself each day,
is it wrong to wish for things,
to have a graceful hand,
soothe away bad dreams?
I ask myself each night,
will you come to light my eyes,
a truth that heals the heart,
and cast away all lies?
I ask myself each hour,
will you mate my soul,
will you be the other half,
that makes my life a whole?
I ask myself each minute,
will you be happy with me,
to accept the good and bad,
and never commit infidelity?
I ask myself each second,
why can't you hear my words,
for these questions are not for me,
they're for you to be heard.
I think I may have found you,
it may be too good to be true,
my last and final question,
am I good enough for you?
