"I Still Care"
by: Cherry T. Evans
I must confess
You did your best
But I was blind
And I chose to walk a crooked line
I don't blame you
For the things that I've put you through
Nor do I blame you
For the things that I'm going through
I played games
I set flames around my name
Playing with fire, I got burned
No doubtedly, the anger and drugs mixed with greed
Made me overlook the things that were really a need
My life in the fast lane
It caused a lot of pain
It brought tears to your eyes
I guess the least I could do is apologize
But that won't erase the scar
Nor will it replace a falling star
But at least you'll be aware
That your son still care
