Been many places
Done many things
Seen a lot of faces
Felt the joy love brings.
Times have been good
Times have been bad
I've seen many smiles
And had times that were sad.
Walked many empty miles
Lost my freedom along the way
Had to start all over again
Searching for a brighter day.
I've cried in the rain
Danced in the sun
Felt love's great pain
Learned life's not always fun.
Still have bridges to burn
Much have I still to learn
Peace is waiting somewhere
One day love will carry me there.
