My Kind of Woman
by:

What
kind of woman do I long for?
Who do I love and feel strong for?
Someone who is sweet and tender,
And thanks me for the flowers I send her.
Someone who can control her emotions,
Instead of a tempest that troubles the oceans.
Someone who confronts me when I'm weak,
With a gentle word and a kiss on the cheek.
My lady will always be shown respect,
Instead of abuse, contempt, and neglect.
She'll know that she is loved by her man,
As I look in her eyes and hold on to her hand.
I'll do all I can to protect her from harm,
And I'll lovingly hold her in my arms.
I'll walk with her through the eye of the storm,
And my kisses will always be tender and warm.
I'll be there to help drive away all her fears,
And if ever I wrong her, I'll weep bitter tears.
I'll give all my love to the woman who's right,
She can be dark or she can be light.
If I judged completely by color of skin,
The love we had would soon wear thin.
True love must have substance and roots that are deep,
To be the kind that I'd want to keep.
The ultimate thing for me is affection,
And sweetness. It isn't her complexion.
What is the most important part of a woman?
It's what's inside her heart.
