"Sorry"
by: David Bibbs
I'm your brother,
remember me?
I haven't always been
who you needed me to be.
PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!
I've been trying to find my way,
but it's going to take time,
KINGS aren't made in just one day.
This is a call to my sisters.
I feel a little neglected,
and abandoned and alone,
and a little disrespected.
I'm no angel of this.
I've done my share of dirt,
but I had to live and learn
to recognize my sister's worth.
As I write you these words,
I see you through tears,
still I stand before you
in the face of all my fears.
Trust that I love you,
and I want to apologize,
because nothing kills me more inside,
than being invisible
in my sister's eyes!
When I call on my sisters,
I'm calling for a friend,
It makes no difference,
where you're from,
or
the color of your skin.
