Greetings to you and thank you for taking the time to read my ad. I have nothing fancy nor catchy to draw your attention, but, I am an honest person seeking to correspond with any other who deems them self honest as well.

My intention is merely to share thoughts and ideas..... even a few opinions, which should not be too difficult, I hope. I'm a very simple person who says what he means and means exactly what he says. In a world of chaos and dramas, I find this is most comforting, and I've been known to appreciate the same in return. This is not to suggest that I shy away from complexities.....

I'm a deep thinker, sensitive, and I'm considerate. It's just that I have a chance for freedom sooner than expected, and, being that I've been incarcerated for so long, I want my
people-skills to be up to par.... I want my knowledge of the on-goings in society to be a bit more diverse, and, because I love my family dearly, I'd simply like to be a better "ME" for them. Where as I have educated myself in various fields of study, I'm not accustomed to fluent expressions of what really matters. In here, there are so many people who have become desensitized too so much, I often feel like an odd-ball for caring. Then, when conversing with people in the free-world, I sometimes feel like an odd-ball for not caring about materialistic things which a lot of people try to place value upon. So.... I simply want to be better in whatever ways I can. I have a pretty good sense of humor, I'm definitely down-to-earth, well-educated, and, I'm humble enough to know that even in all of my knowledge, I know absolutely nothing. Go ahead... smile.

I do not discriminate in any fashion at all. I truly believe everyone is beautiful in their own way. Sometimes, situations go horribly wrong and beauty can become a beast. However, I do not believe circumstances define who we are but instead present us with an opportunity to become who we are, truly. We learn "self" via our experiences. My musical tastes varies depending on my mood. Primarily, I groove to slow music.... BUT, I've been caught in the act of snapping my finger or patting my foot to more up-beat rhythms such as light rock, a little hip hop, R & B, and alternative.

I have a few goals in mind. The bulk of my dreams have already come true, but, I still wish to grow in other ways. Personal goals. I love to write..... And, I'm artistically inclined as well. I'd one day like to publish some of my poetry, my books, and maybe... maybe my artwork. My immediate concern is being productive and an asset to my family. Times are hard what with the economy in the weaker stages, and I just want to be a part of the solutions..... shoulder some of the burdens.... stimulate some sighs of relief.

I committed a crime as a teenager, and have been incarcerated ever since. I've known intimately the emotions of anger, sadness, joy and pain. I've learned to deal with each in a way that is constructive. I've met people who are straight, gay, mature and immature.... person's who are racist and many who are humanitarian. I've been allowed to navigate through these extremes unscathed, and so I'm compelled to believe a higher power is at work in my life: molding me for something better. Maybe that "something better" is a better me. I'm willing to reach for that, and I'd be grateful for the opportunity to enhance self by corresponding with you. All letters will be responded.
