Hi, my name is Evan, but most people call me Shahid. I'm from Washington, DC. I'm a practicing Muslim. I am open minded and very tolerant. I've experienced many different types of people and divorce cultures. I like to travel, I've done a little. I'd really like to do some more if I get the chance. I love to laugh, I don't take myself too seriously. I'm a dedicated and loyal person. I'm very close my mother, I can talk to her about pretty much anything. I'm the youngest of 4. I have three older sisters. I believe family is very important.

I would say that my life is pretty joyful and surprisingly fulfilling despite the circumstances. It may be hard to believe but I'm happier than I've been in a long time. I guess I'm just looking for a friend, someone to share my experiences with. Someone to learn from, laugh with and just get to know. I feel like I'm worth getting to know. I think the insight of a woman is completely unique and that is something that has been missing from my life lately. I'm looking for someone with a sense of humor, who knows herself but is still open to change. Someone who's not afraid to be herself all the time, who can be silly and serious in the same sentence.

I study Islam daily. My faith is very important to me. I am extremely grateful to have reached this point in my life and I am fully aware that without the mercy of God I would not be the man I am. I just strive to be better everyday. I have taken some college classes. I like to read and write. I think one day I'd like to be a journalist and maybe make some video documentaries.

I'm also pretty goofy, I like all kind of movies. My top 3 favorites are Brick, Coming to America, Crash. On any other day there could be 3 different movies in those slots. I also like the TV show Lost. I also stay pretty active, I like to run, work out, and play soccer. I would say that soccer is my favorite sport, then basketball, football then golf. I hope I've been open enough and I hope to hear from you soon.
