I led a good life before I got locked up. I was responsible, worked hard for what I had, and went to school. But I made a mistake by using the wrong means to get financially ahead in life. Everyone gets one mistake and now here I sit. I refuse to let this situation get the best of me. I can't just sit in here and waste my time. Although every job pays pennies on the dollar, I still work. I take full advantage of every opportunity this prison system offers. I'm not a career criminal or thug. I came to prison a good man and I'll leave a better one.

I'm well aware of the stigma around prisoners and I'm not looking for someone to take care of me. I'm on the down-side of my sentence and I need companionship to help me through this last bit. If things progress beyond friendship and my release, great. If not, that's fine too.

I have a big heart and good morals. I'm true to my family and loved ones. I also love music and a good laugh. I know taking a chance on someone can be scary. It took courage to put myself out here. Yet here I am because companionship matters to me.
