How are you doing? I hope you are blessed. I am Bernard Gilbert. I'm originally from Austin, Texas. I'm a military brat; my Father is a retired Staff Sgt. US Air Force and I did six years in the US Army so I have moved around quite a bit. I have lived in California, Nebraska, South Carolina, Virginia, Portugal, and Germany.

I have my Associates Degree in Liberal Arts/Applied Sciences, and have worked in a variety of fields from construction, truck driver, shipping & receiving. My last job was as an Inventory Control Manager for a computer refurbishing company. One of my many goals is to continue my education and to have a book published. I enjoy reading, mostly fiction, some non-fiction (Spiritual). Music; Jazz, R & B, Classic Rock, Pop, some Country.

I am a hopeless romantic who writes mushy poetry and draws pretty well. I also enjoy watching old movies, buttered popcorn, and cuddling up. I like candlelight dinners and rainy nights, ye-e-ah I'm a bit old fashioned. I also like stimulating conversation, spending time with family and friends, and living life passionately. Laughter is the music of life and good for the heart.

I'm just someone seeking a connection, a little affection. I'm searching for a friend... best friend/true friend... I guess it all depends. With eyes wide open your mind seems clearer; only the heart knows what it knows. It's hard to explain it, but when you find it, you know it, and it shows. I learned a long time ago to tolerate ambiguity and always keep things in perspective. Life is ever changing, just stay focused, keep the faith, and remember your objective.
