Hello, I am reaching out in hopes of seeking legal assistance from someone who is passionate and determined about correcting a grave miscarriage of justice. The library here at this facility is not adequate to meet court deadlines. And by being incarcerated I have very little resources. I'm not going to waste your time, professing my innocence, if I know I'm guilty. However, I had absolutely no knowledge of the crime being committed I'm convicted for now. The guy who committed the crime confessed in court to doing it, but blamed "me" for making him do it. In exchange for a lighter sentence! I am a father, brother, uncle, grandson, and a friend to people who are deeply affected by my incarceration. Throughout this situation my family has been scammed by a lawyer, that has left some of them in debt. There was a habeas corpus filed in conjunction with my direct appeal in the Calif. Appeals 2nd District. After their denial a Petition for Review was filed in the Calif. Supreme Court. After its denial my family hired a lawyer to represent me in the US District Court, so they thought. The lawyer did not file anything and beat my family out of the money. So I was forced to file a Petition in prop-per to the US District Court, which is still pending. The Attorney General has filed a "Return" and I've submitted a Traverse. (awaiting a decision) Issues raised on appeal: The Court erred in admitting an involuntary confession of a third party; IAC Counsel's failure to call a material impeachment witness; Prosecution's knowingly use of false testimony; Uncorroborated testimony of an alleged accomplice; Admission of a confession of a third party that was extracted by the promise of leniency by the police; Counsel's failure to call me to the stand; Jury misconduct (they considered me not testifying in the deliberations). I can provide all the case numbers, exhibits and transcripts, and will answer any further questions you may have. I'm looking forward to any assistance you can offer. Have a great day!
