My name is Blaze. I write poetry and short stories. I study sociology, psychology, and religion. Prison doesn't offer college courses anymore, so I teach myself the best I can until I have the means for a correspondence course.

My desire is to work with troubled teens, or deaf-mutes (I'm also teaching myself sign language). I have a profound love for humanity and I worry daily of the destructive route the world has taken. Governments have been unable to stop this destructive path, perhaps because they are one of the reasons.

The solution to our ills is for people of all nations to come together. Our brotherhood is universal. Our problems are the same and only unified can we take on the task mentioned in all holy books. "Care for the Earth ... and love each other as we would love ourselves." Two tasks, so simple!

I sponsor a child in a third-world country, and seek out ways to have food and clothing sent to the poor in this country. I practice martial arts, love swimming, nature and our awesome star-specked universe.

I encourage you to write, no matter the miles. Someone once wrote, "The only way for evil to triumph is for the good to do nothing." Start by reaching out and sharing. I enjoy writing, friendship, sincerity and truth. The one most honorable thing you will find about me is that I am a loyal friend in good and bad. An eternal friend. Of those, there are few.
