Please allow me to sincerely thank you for taking the time to read my profile. It takes a special person to overlook the stereotypes of prisoners - much less to write to one. In all aspects of life I am open-minded and objective. The most distinguishing feature concerning myself is I am a very compassionate man. What I find most disappointing about myself is my lack of education. I've made a tremendous effort to make up for that flaw by being a voracious reader. Reading, for me, has been a great form of mental calisthenics. I have a huge soft spot for animals. They reciprocate my love by flocking to me. I also have a great affinity for children. I look upon them as miracle gifts from God.

I was born and raised in the piney woods of East Texas. I stand 6'1" and weigh in at 215 lbs. I'm partial to the winter season - as I love a roaring fireplace. Growing up as a kid, I was always involved in athletics. I was quite adept at baseball and football. Now, as an adult, I follow both sports religiously. All throughout my adult life I've always been an exercise fanatic. Working out is the ultimate stress and tension reducer. It also boosts my otherwise low self-esteem (smile)!

I would like to meet someone witty, intellectual, and with a vivacious personality. I am drawn to caring and compassionate people. I'm in search of someone who exhibits aplomb, yet isn't arrogant or conceited. I value humor, optimism, and selfless intention in others.
